When I think back to the rodeos I have gone to, aside from the amazing performances of the cowboys and the cowgirls, my mind envisions the western clothing that they wore. Rhinestone belts, cowboy hats, their pants tucked into their boots.

Clogs are back
No other form of human wardrobe has gone through as much evolution as footwear. Like every other invention, the various forms of shoes too were born owing to some necessity. Clogs are no different. They were traditionally worn by factory workers primarily underground coal miners and cotton mill workers as they were cheap, long lasting and comfortable. Although they were initially worn by people who could not afford other forms of footwear, today they have become a fashion rage. Clogs are shoes with an open back and closed toes. But it’s not uncommon these days to find them that are slightly open at the front too.
Clogs are sought after by both men and women. They can be made from a variety of material and are very comfortable as you can just slip-on into them. This is exactly the reason why they have become very popular as a day to day wear. But that does not in any way mean that you can’t wear them on that special evening or a festive occasion. In fact, these are the form of footwear that suits multiple events.
They come in various styles. Conventionally, they have had flat heels and closed front. But don’t be surprised if you find your office colleague or your friends wearing clog with heels as they are very much the in-thing these days. Some people prefer to call clogs that have heels as mules and they are not wrong in a way. They are traditionally supposed to have a platform-type heel with thick and sturdy soles.
All the major fashion labels are trying to take full advantage of this new found craze in these shoes. Go to any mall or check any online store, they are all flooded with new ranges and unique designs. Clog sandals have become very popular too.
Another great thing that works in favour of them is the size. With other types of footwear that are closed at the back even a slight difference in size will be a cause of great discomfort. Since they are open at the back, a small difference in size can easily be accommodated. Size is also one of the reasons why people are not too comfortable shopping online but since that is not that big a concern, you can say bye to your fears and start looking for your favourite clogs right away.
