Black Mold: What You Need to Know
Black mold is a type of fungus that thrives in areas that are moist and humid and dark. Apparently, it does not need a lot to grow and germinate, as long as there’s humidity and moisture. The black mold or the stachybotrys chartarum devours on moist materials that are fibrous in consistency and appears as a black infestation. Black molds are viewed as health hazards as they produce spores that contain mycotoxins. Prolonged exposure and inhalation of these spores that contains the mycotoxins could lead to death of an individual. The mycotoxins are not released into the air until the time the black mold is totally dried out. Once in the air, these hazardous toxins are spread in all areas of the house through the ventilation and air-conditioning systems increasing the likelihood of inhalation of these toxins by the humans and household pets. If inhaled by individuals with lowered immune resistance like the infants, the mycotoxins can cause respiratory illnesses like respiratory tract infections and bleeding leading to death.
Unlike any other types of molds that have musty like odors, the black mold is very hard to detect since it doesn’t have a distinctive smell of its own. And usually, it lurks in areas that are hard to reach and mostly unseen by the naked eye such as the back of the walls and under the ceilings making most homeowners unaware of its presence. However, any sign of leaks in the plumbing system or roof and dysfunctional gutters could already be a concern for possible black mold growth in your household or if you or any members of the family have started to develop allergic reactions even without the medical history of such illness. Why are Dr Martens So Popular With Women After Over 50 Years?
The first pair of Dr. Martens were launched on April 1, 1960. They are still adored by all ages, sizes and classes and fit comfortably into many a wardrobe. Doc Martens come in a range of both shoes and boots although the eight eyelet and fourteen eyelet styles tend to be the most popular. From the outset women have loved Dr Martens, the majority of the early DMs were sold to German housewives. They were on their feet all day, so loved the airwair soles that kept their feet feeling comfortable.

As Doc Martenshoes are such a masculine style, it has sometimes been difficult for women to know what to wear with them. While jeans are always good with a pair of Doctor Martens shoes, they can create a look which is just a little bit too masculine for some women. If you do want to wear jeans with your Docs, then choose a loose, baggy style rather than the skinny jeans that have been so popular this season. During the grunge craze in the early 90s, Doc Martens were frequently seen paired with feminine, floaty dresses and skirt, it’s a look that doesn’t sound as if it should work, but you may well be surprised. The contrast between a colourful dress and chunky black DMshoes can actually look wonderful.

Everybody’s Got One (a Black Sheep in the Family)
In talking to my network of friends and business associates, I’ve discovered that everybody seems to have a family skeleton in their closet, a “Black Sheep,” meaning there is some relative who you can count on to disrupt the harmony of the family. This could be a nutty aunt or uncle, a brother or sister, son or daughter, you get the idea. Time and again they seem to go out of their way to embarrass the family. Consequently, we like to keep them locked up at major family functions such as at weddings or get-togethers. We keep them at arm’s length as we do not want their screwy life to disrupt our own and pray they do not drain the family emotionally or financially.
I always found it interesting that American presidents have had to keep a lid on certain relatives. For example, Jimmy Carter was always worried about the antics of his brother Billy who was best known for his beer and registering as a foreign agent on behalf of the Libyan Government. Ronald Reagan worried about what his offspring might say in public. I think Patti’s pictorial in Playboy probably pushed him over the edge.
But the presidents are not alone in this regard. I think everyone has some relative, either distant or close, that has caused heartbreak for the family either because of money, substance abuse, something said out of turn, committing a crime, or just their whacky personality. I remember my father-in-law had an estranged brother living in Florida whom he hadn’t spoken to in years over a fallout they had regarding the care of their elderly parents. Once a year though he would call his brother on the phone; if the brother answered, my father-in-law would promptly hang up on him before saying a word. He just wanted to know “If that bastard was still alive.”
It seems strange we all have some dysfunctional person in the family we have to deal with. It is very awkward for all involved and is something we don’t like to openly discuss with others but I think it’s a fact of life. I think the old adage sums it up nicely, “You can pick your friends, but you cannot pick your family.”
Maybe this is why we liked such shows in the 1950′s like “Leave it to Beaver,” “Father knows Best,” or “The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet” (“Adventures”?) Critics claimed their squeaky clean personas were unrealistic but it was a lifestyle we all yearned for. Today, shows like “The Simpsons” and “Married with Children” reflect life as we know it, complete with embarrassing relatives and situations which many claim are more realistic.
Frankly, I think if we honestly had a choice, we would rather live more like Ozzie and Harriet than Homer and Marge Simpson. But such is not to be.

My Personal Review On Suunto M5 Women’s Heart Rate Monitor and Fitness Training Watch (Black/Silver)
Silent Partner I’ve been trying to lose weight by exercising. Typical first step … However, I found that after serving always the first step, without a guide. I would lose weight and I would like to increase my level of fitness. Within the limits of food in the place that still did not see the progress of two years, I was told my heart rate monitor was giving me no results in real time, so that leads me right to my weight loss goals . Therefore, I investigated heart rate monitors and found that the market is saturated with clocks with benefits. I work in the sports industry and we know that professional athletes use real-time monitoring for fitness, but I never thought I needed that type of technology. FALSE! COMPUTER Suunto woman bought gold M5! I lost 5 pounds while using my exercise suggestions and have never felt such confidence in the results. I love my silent partner! I can get advice, limits, encouragement and real-time monitoring! The only drawback is my routine age range … interval timers needed … but hoped that the routine does not work for me! Yay …. My watch was exactly what I needed.
M5 looks great and is lightweight and fits the wrist and the heart rate strap is more comfortable than others I’ve tried … Is synchronized with the exercise equipment in my local gym (no more in the conclusion of the hearing rate of mangos), indicate whether the sounds outside my limits and indicates when I’m 50% complete (so that I can continue my exercise without stopping to check).
The only downside … Deleting a workout in the story if you accidentally started the exercise during the day. Other than that I found without my M5 Suunto. Silence the best partner you can buy!

Marine Iguanas – Some Interesting Facts
Due to the special ability of marine iguanas to live and forage in the seawaters, they have been set apart from their relatives. The marine iguanas have been given the brand name of “Galapagos marine iguana” with respect to its existence in large numbers at the Galapagos Islands. Even though the marine iguana’s natural habitat is Galapagos island’s rocky shores, they can also been found in marshes beaches and mangroves.
A few people like Charles Darwin describe marine iguanas as black lizards thriving on the seas but actually marine iguanas aren’t always black. While dorsal stripe color is taken by the young ones of marine iguanas the adults are grayish in color. Even though their colors are really dull, there’s a reason for this dullness. These colors allow the marine iguanas to absorb the heat easily as they come out of the waters. Their diet is usually just the water algae present in the sea. Basking under the sun helps the marine iguanas to remove the left out salts from its nasal glands. Their faces of the marine iguanas usually appear white due to the salt content present in their bodies.
The color of the male matured iguanas depends on the ongoing season. Due to which they have a variety of colors. At their breeding season, the adult males appear teal green or even reddish brown in color. The ones in Santa Cruz appear to be red brick and black whereas those thriving in Fernandina have brick red and dull green color appearance. Like their colors, so do the sizes of these iguanas vary with island they house in. While the largest of them are present in the entire of Isabela and Fernandina of the Galapagos, the smallest of them are in Genovesa.
The marine iguanas cannot venture for a long time in the sea while in search of food or anything else due to their poikilothermic nature. That’s the reason why they usually stick to swimming within the shallow areas of the island waters. Following their search for food, they go back to basking under the sun for warming themselves again. Marine iguanas are most easily hunted by their predators in the cold days as the cold affects the movement of the iguanas. But they do try protecting themselves by striking their tails up and biting the predators which they think is causing them danger. The whole breeding season of the marine iguanas is spent by mating with the other sex and also by protecting them over other males of their breed.
The iguanas have the ability to adapt their sizes according to the food availability at that time. At the time of the El Niño when the amount of water algae decreased, the iguanas actually reduced in their lengths to bring themselves to the food condition. Later as the food conditions began to come back to normal so did the size of the reptiles. These types of iguanas are slow compared to their relatives. Sometimes when they are taken as pets, dogs and cats emerge as their predators as the iguanas are really slow and too tamed.
The Ecuador government has brought about many laws to prevent the fall of the marine iguanas till date. To protect them against predators artificial nestling sites have been set up in the smaller islands.
